Studio Cut Video Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account on Studio Cut Video ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

These Terms apply to all users of Studio Cut Video, including users on standard subscription plans and users who previously purchased an Introductory Access Plan during our launch period.

2. Who We Are

Studio Cut Video is an AI-powered video creation platform that helps individuals, creators, and businesses produce professional video content. Our services include AI voiceover, AI video generation, background music, image creation, and content publishing tools (collectively, the "Service").

3. Your Account

Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Studio Cut Video. By registering, you confirm this.

Account Security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You agree to notify us promptly at [support email] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

One Account Per Person. Accounts are personal. You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to another person. Automated or bulk account creation is not permitted.

Accurate Information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.

4. The Service

License. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Studio Cut Video for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Service Availability. We aim to keep Studio Cut Video available and running smoothly. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or improvements that temporarily affect availability — we'll try to give you advance notice for planned downtime.

Platform Evolution. Studio Cut Video is a growing product. We regularly introduce improvements, new features, and updates. Some features may be changed, updated, or discontinued as the platform evolves. Where changes materially affect your access, we will notify you.

White Label Services. If you use Studio Cut Video through a White Label partner (a third-party agency that resells our platform under their own branding), your primary relationship for billing and support is with that partner. These Terms still govern your use of the underlying platform.

5. Subscription Plans & Billing

Standard Plans. Studio Cut Video offers subscription plans billed on a recurring monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis ("Subscription Plans"). Details of features and pricing are available on our pricing page.

Billing. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle. All charges are in USD.

Cancellation. You may cancel your Subscription Plan at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you retain access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time within a billing cycle.

Plan Changes. You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Unused days from a paid plan may be applied as account credit toward your new plan. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Failed Payments. If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect it during a short grace period. If the payment cannot be collected, your account may be restricted until the outstanding amount is resolved.

Taxes. Prices shown exclude applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes arising from your use of the Service, unless we are required by law to collect them on your behalf.

6. Existing Introductory Access Plan Holders

If you purchased an Introductory Access Plan during our launch period, your access continues under the terms you accepted at the time of purchase for the remainder of your access period.

Once your Introductory Access period concludes, your account will automatically continue on our standard Free plan at no additional cost. Your data, content, and production history will be fully preserved.

Introductory Access Plans are no longer available for new purchase. If you wish to upgrade your access, our current Subscription Plans are available on our pricing page.

7. Fair Use & Acceptable Use

Spirit of Fair Use. Studio Cut Video is designed for genuine creative use by individuals and teams. We want every user to enjoy a fast, reliable, high-quality experience. To protect that experience for everyone, we ask that you use the Service in a manner consistent with its intended purpose.

Usage Integrity. We reserve the right to apply reasonable technical measures — including rate limiting, throttling, or temporary usage adjustments — in cases where usage patterns significantly exceed what we would reasonably expect from typical users or adversely affect the service quality for other users. We will endeavour to contact you before taking such action where possible.

Prohibited Use. You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
Generate, distribute, or publish content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative of minors, or otherwise harmful.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our platform or AI models.
Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access the Service at a scale not permitted by your plan.
Use the Service to create content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Attempt to circumvent usage limits, access controls, or account restrictions.
Share account access or credentials with others outside of permitted team or agency arrangements.
Use the Service to generate misleading, deceptive, or synthetic media with intent to deceive or defraud.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

8. AI-Generated Content

Your Outputs. Content you create using Studio Cut Video's AI tools — including generated videos, voiceovers, images, and music — belongs to you, subject to the restrictions below and any third-party rights embedded in source materials you provide.

Your Inputs. You retain ownership of content you upload to Studio Cut Video (scripts, images, audio files, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your input content to train our AI models without your explicit consent.

Responsibility. You are solely responsible for the content you generate using Studio Cut Video and for ensuring it complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights. We are not liable for the outputs you create or how you use them.

AI Limitations. AI-generated content may be imperfect, unexpected, or occasionally produce inaccurate results. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated outputs for any particular purpose.

Content Moderation. We reserve the right to review, suspend, or remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law, without prior notice.

9. Your Content & Data

Your Data. You retain full ownership of the data and content you store on Studio Cut Video. We act as a data processor on your behalf and will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Data on Plan Change or Termination. If your plan changes or your access concludes, your data is preserved. We do not delete your files as a consequence of plan changes. You may export or delete your data at any time from within the platform.

Storage. Storage usage is subject to the limits of your plan. Files in Trash still count toward your storage quota until permanently deleted.

10. Intellectual Property

Our Platform. Studio Cut Video, its logo, design, software, AI models, and all related intellectual property belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our platform or IP to you.

Feedback. If you share feedback, suggestions, or ideas with us, you grant us an unrestricted licence to use that feedback to improve our products, without any obligation to compensate you.

11. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy, available at [privacy policy URL], explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using Studio Cut Video, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

We comply with applicable data protection laws. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the GDPR governs our handling of your personal data.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

As-Is Service. Studio Cut Video is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties — express, implied, or statutory — regarding the Service, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

No Consequential Damages. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Exceptions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via email or a notice within the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Studio Cut Video after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.

14. Termination

By You. You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid fees.

By Us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in abusive or fraudulent behaviour, or for any other reason at our sole discretion — with reasonable notice where practical. In the case of serious violations (illegal activity, abuse, fraud), we may act immediately.

Effect of Termination. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends. We will retain your data for a reasonable period following termination in accordance with our data retention policy, after which it may be permanently deleted.

15. Governing Law & Disputes
