Voice Library
The Voice Library is where you curate the voices available in the wizard's Voice step. It also lets you add custom ElevenLabs voices by ID — bringing in voices you've cloned or saved in your ElevenLabs account.
Open it from the sidebar (or /video_production/voice-library).
The three tabs
My Voices
Voices you've personally saved. Use this tab to keep a short, curated list of "my favourites" — the wizard picks from this list first. Cards have a Remove button to drop a voice back out of the list.
Agency Voices (visible if you're in an agency)
Voices shared across your team. Anyone in the agency can use them in productions; agency admins control which voices are pinned here. The header shows the current count.
Browse Catalog
The full searchable catalogue of available voices — both built-in (Gemini, 8 voices) and custom (ElevenLabs voices added by you or your team).
Filters:
- Search — by voice name (debounced).
- Provider — All · Gemini · ElevenLabs.
- Gender — All · Male · Female · Neutral.
Pagination handles large catalogues.
What a voice card shows
Every voice card in any tab displays:
- Avatar — initial-letter circle, colour-coded by provider.
- Name and description.
- Provider / Gender / Accent badges.
- Preview player (where the voice has a sample audio attached) — click to hear the voice.
- Add or Remove button (Add saves to My Voices, Remove drops it).
- Add to Agency button — admin-only, in agency contexts.
Built-in Gemini voices
These are always available, no setup, on every plan:
| Voice | Character |
|---|---|
| Zephyr | Neutral, bright |
| Puck | Male, upbeat |
| Charon | Male, authoritative |
| Kore | Female, warm |
| Fenrir | Male, bold |
| Aoede | Female, narrative |
| Leda | Female, youthful |
| Orus | Male, calm |
(The catalogue is re-synced from the provider monthly, so the exact set may shift slightly over time as Gemini adds or retires voices.)
Adding a custom ElevenLabs voice
Custom voices require an ElevenLabs account and the Enterprise plan, which is the tier that includes ElevenLabs.
The custom-voice form asks for:
- Provider — ElevenLabs.
- Voice ID — paste the ID from your ElevenLabs library (e.g.
21m00Tcm4TlvDq8ikWAM). - Name — display name shown in the wizard.
- Notes — for your own reference (e.g. "Cloned from CEO recording, 30 min source").
Once saved, the voice appears in My Voices and is selectable in any new production's voice step.
Real scenarios
Scenario A — Curate a 3-voice "starter set"
A new user wants to skip decision fatigue every time they create a video.
- Browse Catalog → previews 6–7 Gemini voices.
- Adds Puck (energetic explainers), Aoede (calm narration), Charon (authoritative announcements) to My Voices.
- From now on, the wizard's voice picker shows these three at the top — they pick by intent in 2 seconds.
Scenario B — Bring in your own brand voice
A creator has cloned their own voice in ElevenLabs.
- Copies the ElevenLabs voice ID.
- Voice Library → custom voice form → paste ID, name it "My Voice — v2".
- Saves. The voice appears in My Voices and in the wizard's voice picker.
- Their next 50 videos sound like them, not a stock TTS.
Scenario C — Standardise an agency
An agency owner wants every team member to use the same 4 voices.
- Logs in as agency admin.
- In Browse Catalog, finds the 4 voices and clicks Add to Agency on each.
- Everyone in the agency sees those 4 voices in their Agency Voices tab and can pick them in any production.
Tips & gotchas
- Preview before you commit. A voice that sounds great in 5 seconds of preview can feel monotonous in a 5-minute video — use the wizard's voice-step preview with a longer sample text if you can.
- Speed and Excitement matter as much as voice choice. A "boring" voice often becomes great with Excitement = 3 and Speed = Fast.
- Custom voices need ElevenLabs tier alignment. A high-quality cloned voice consumes ElevenLabs credits per character; check your ElevenLabs plan before producing long videos with it.
- Removing a voice from My Voices doesn't delete it. It's still in Browse Catalog — you can re-add any time.
- Agency Voices are not auto-synced to My Voices. Members still pick from the Agency tab in the wizard.
- Voice availability is per-language. Some custom voices only support a subset of the 24 languages. The wizard greys out voices that don't support your selected language.
